Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic IT Project Coordinator Intern to join our IT department. This internship offers a hands-on learning experience in managing and coordinating IT projects. You will work closely with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope. The position is stipend-based, offering financial support during the internship period. This opportunity will provide insight into the IT project lifecycle and will help you build a foundation for a career in IT project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist IT Project Managers in planning, coordinating, and executing IT projects.
- Monitor and report on project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Help in tracking project resources, including personnel, equipment, and budgets.
- Coordinate communication between the IT team, stakeholders, and vendors.
- Assist in organizing project meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, and documenting meeting minutes.
- Support the preparation of project documentation such as project plans, status reports, and risk management plans.
- Help identify potential project risks and escalate issues to the project manager.
- Ensure all project documentation is updated and organized in accordance with company policies.
- Assist with updating and maintaining project management software and tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana).
- Support the testing and quality assurance phases of IT projects to ensure deliverables meet project specifications.
- Provide administrative and logistical support to the project team to ensure efficient operations.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure that projects align with technical specifications and requirements.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of IT project management processes and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Trello, Asana) is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
